Arturo López Ayala studied architecture at the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule (ETH) Zurich and at Harvard Graduate School of Design. He completed his diploma at ETH with Professor Christian Kerez. From 2022 to 2024, he has tought at the ETH Zurich chair of Professor Anne Holtrop and in 2025 he tought as visiting professor at Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile.

López Ayala works and lives in Madrid. In his works, he focuses on spatial innovation through structural and material approach. He has worked on multiple international projects at different scales. Parallel to this, he has been working on public competitions as well as on a cultural building extention and several residential projects.
